Wright Two Months

I cannot believe Wright is already 2 months old. The cliché is true - time really does fly. These past few weeks have been wonderful. We've gotten into somewhat of a routine, and he's been sleeping well enough at night that I feel much more rested. On top of that, his little personality has started to show through and it's been so much fun to watch.

Wright,
You are so alert! You love to lay and kick and love watching the birds on your playmat. You love listening to the music that's on most of your toys. You come by that honest.

You are so content and really only cry when you're getting your diaper changed - even worse if it's the middle of the night. I think that's the worst part of my whole day - that midnight diaper change. You are NOT a happy camper. I can't blame you.

This month you went with me for my last appointment at the doctor. I think your meeting with Dr. Heaton was much less traumatic this time. You slept right through it, but not without everyone commenting on your hair. You are famous for it!

I got the clear to work out again, so we hit the road in the jogging stroller that afternoon. It was a rough first run after 7 weeks off, but it's gotten easier every time. You sleep the whole time while I huff and puff. But the view is pretty great.

You aren't a great napper, but you sleep well enough at night to make up for it. Right before you turned 4 weeks, we started a nighttime routine and moved you to your crib. I think everyone sleeps better. We do bath and Dad feeds you a bottle around 8:30. You sleep until around 1:30 or 2, and then again until 4:30 or 5. After that last feeding, we keep you in our room and I have to wake you up for your 9 a.m. feeding. We hang out in bed and watch the Today show, and it's probably my favorite part of the day. You are so happy in the mornings!

You started smiling around 7 weeks, but the last few days you've really mastered it. It melts my heart!

We love you so much and are so thankful we get to watch you grow!
