Meatball Sliders

Is there anything better than tailgating food? I think not. In homage to tailgating cuisine, here's a new recipe I recently tried a couple weekends back.

Meatball Sliders

1 bag frozen Italian Style meatballs (32 meatballs)
1 jar (28oz) pasta sauce
2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls
11 slices mozzarella cheese, each slice cut into thirds

Preheat oven to 375. Simmer meatballs and sauce over low heat until warmed through (5-10 minutes). Separate crescent rolls into triangles. Cut each triangle in half to form two triangles. Place 1/3 slice of mozzarella cheese on top of crescent roll, top with meatball and roll up the crescent roll. Place on cookie sheet. Repeat with remaining crescent rolls. Bake at 375 for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

I had plenty of cheese left over, so next time I'll probably use more cheese in each slider. These are a hearty snack, and is a nice way to mix up your tailgate from all the dip recipes. Note: this is not an insult to dips. They are my first love.

Roll Tide!!
