I Need a Dollar

After a gorgeous sunset Friday afternoon, we got up early Saturday to hit the farmers market, Namath in tow, before our 13 mile run. He didn't pee on any of the vegetables on the ground, so I considered the visit a success.

MS found this great place to watch the game, but we decided to keep our plans, not located under the interstate. And with windows.

Funny. Until I realized a mile later neither of us packed our debit card. Which left us with one bottle of water and no gatorade. MS' plan was to scavage the ground for dollar bills floating around. Better than my plan of, um, hoping I wouldn't get thirsty in the next couple hours.

Beautiful day though, and we ran by some landmarks.

Took this to distract myself from asking someone at the park for money.

Instead we took the more honorable approach and broke into the UAB tennis courts and drank their water. From a water bottle that was laying on the court. Don't judge. Or judge. Either way, we got something to drink.

Lack of fluids made the last 4 miles rough, but the run is crossed off the list either way. The bad days make you appreciate the good days. Or as MS put it, "It's over and I don't want to talk about it." Different strokes.

I rewarded myself with a pedi - OPI's Boris & Natasha.
