Men at Work

Last week Matt and I had the opportunity to go tour the progress on our first place. Construction isn't scheduled to be finished until August, so we signed some paperwork excusing any fault if a steel beam killed one of us and put on our hard hats. I fit right in to the construction site with my hot pink heels.

Matt was thrilled when I suggested we take a picture. Or more accurately, I take his picture.

We had decided we were going to rent for a year so we could save for a downpayment and enjoy doing some traveling. We were so excited when this place seemingly fell in our laps and it was much more than we had hoped for. It's a mile from work, has a pool, is new and pet friendly. So after seeing some drywall and sketches, we signed a lease.

This time, we got to see our finished floorplan, and we knew we had made a good decision.
Our exuberant leasing agent Starr.

My favorite room. The mind reels at all the good food to be cooked here. I'm now taking recipe suggestions.

Love the pendent lighting. Starr said it would be great to set a mood. Awkward, Starr.

Just in case you were wondering what the bathroom counter looked like. I'll spare you from pictures of the shower.

View from our balcony.
You can find me here, most of Summer 2011. Probably Spring and early Fall as well.

Home sweet home!

WOW! This is awesome. So fancy! Love it! Can I get a non-hard hat tour?
