Let them eat cake

These past few days have been hands down the best part of wedding planning. While it thrills my soul to fill out addresses in an excel spread sheet (and if you know me, you probably know there is absolutely no sarcasm in that statement), it can't shake a stick at food and cake tasting.

Monday, Matt and I met with our caterer. He was passionate about serving good food and throwing a great party. We clicked immediately. He sent us home with a big box of food that I've been eating on all week. Sorry for the lack of pictures. The aftermath wasn't pretty.

Not to be outdone, we met with the cake lady Tuesday night. It was quite the drive out to her little shop, but oh, was it worth it. Did I mention she was located next to a mexican restaurant? Take note Birmingham, thats smart city planning.

Clockwise from chocolate:

Chocolate, french vanilla almond, white with buttercream, strawberry and italian cream.

We could barely eat it.

When I got home, roomie was on the lanei with wine. What a great way to end the day - cake, wine and the company of a few hundred mosquitos.

We have loved all our wedding vendors. Everyone has been so accomadating, and seems (almost)as thrilled about our wedding as we are. It really has made planning a breeze. (knocking on my faux wood desk about now).

This bridesmaid can always be invited to cake or food tastings. Just for future reference...
